what is coaching?

What is a coach? Simply, a coach works with you to take you from where you are to where you want to be. By making the choice to begin a coaching relationship, you, in fact, are making the choice to realize your true potential.

I have found that sometimes in life, it is simple, empowering questions asked by someone who has your best interest at heart that have the most profound effect. As your partner, and coach, it is my purpose to ask you questions that will help you discover your dreams and passions, define what it will take to begin to live those dreams, assist you in creating a life that is balanced and support your new vision for your future.

In our time together, we will:

  • Identify your dreams or passions (what it is that brings you joy)
  • Define the role that you want this to play in your life (whether a complete change, or a smooth integration into your current situation)
  • Create an action plan that begins your journey, a set of goals and a time line for achieving those goals.

Coaching happens in 45-minute phone sessions that occur once a week. Most people find that it takes an initial commitment of 12 sessions to get your new goals established and to begin to develop the new habits needed to achieve those goals. After that, many find the sessions help to keep them focused and choose to continue on with the same frequency or in an every other week capacity. Of course, the choice to begin and to end the coaching relationship always rests with you.
